Liberty Mutual to Offer Sexual Misconduct Insurance

Harvey Weinstein, Hollywood mogul and the definition of guilty (except maybe in the Senate), is on trial for countless acts of sexual abuse.  Thankfully the #MeToo movement his indictment spawned has empowered women who were once afraid to speak up.  At the same time, many men are absolutely petrified.

Enter Liberty Mutual.  Traditionally offering personal insurance to cover auto and home, Liberty Mutual has expanded their personal liability insurance to include UB or “Unacceptable Behavior.”  Unacceptable Behavior ranges from smaller, inappropriate advances in the workplace all the way to Weinstein-like crimes, as once was explained and then retracted by an Alyssa Milano-admonished Mr. Matt Damon.  Actuaries have done the work to determine premiums based on demographics and respective data.  Salesman Ben Russell describes the plan, “It’s perfect for athletes, politicians, celebrities, and CEOs.  The richer and more powerful clients will have higher premiums, which works well for us.  We simply ask that a separate account be created such that funds can continue to flow to Liberty Mutual after arrests, indictments, and sentencings.”
