Leaked emails investigating the impeachment process revealed a proposal from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.  He offered, “Nancy, the Senate will allow you to call John Bolton as a witness.  I would like you to do us a favor though.”  Dripping with quid pro quo, McConnell received a firm “no.”  Subsequent emails revealed Speaker Pelosi refused to consider Republican requested witnesses Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, Adam Schiff, the Whistleblower, Hilary and Bill Clinton, AOC, NPR, Jeff Bezos, and Canada.

When asked for comment, McConnell defended himself, “There is nothing secret here.  The Democrats are not willing to agree to a fair exchange of relevant witnesses.  They want to keep talking about Ukraine, yet per our own Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, no one gives a —— about Ukraine.”
