Crime Up in Gotham City as Batman Self Quarantines

Residents of Gotham City are reeling as news of Batman’s positive coronavirus test inspires various villains and criminal masterminds to unleash their evil plans on a vulnerable city.  It is currently unclear if the Caped Crusader contracted the virus through bat community or human community spread.

In a conference call on BatZoom, the ailing superhero expressed gratitude to local NBA player, Tim Hooks, of the Gotham Gophers.  Hooks’ conveyance of his official NBA-licensed Coronavirus Test Kit™ to the Dark Knight has really helped Gotham City as a whole.

The Penguin, one of Batman’s most prolific enemies, was spotted at the Gotham Aquarium, organizing his army of penguins along with curious passengers of a recently docked cruise liner, The Pangolin Princess.  The Penguin was overheard inciting his feathered and scaly army, “Fellow penguins and cousin pangolins.  This is our moment in history!  We have survived bird flu!  We have endured the captivity of zoos and slaughter at wet markets!  Let us go on to Gotham and scare them into surrender!  Beaks up!  Let’s waddle!”
