Indian Cows Applaud Modi’s Lockdown

When Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the country’s 21 day lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus, native bovines rejoiced. Now they may roam completely free on the streets of India, without having to worry about 1.3 billion humans getting in the way.

New Delhi cow, “Shanti”, describes the new reality, “Look, everyone thinks that just because Hindus consider us sacred we get what we want. Wrong. Do you know what it feels like to be randomly milked by strangers? This lockdown is liberating our streets and our udders! And finally maybe the reduction in human produced pollution will allow us to properly breathe again. Everyone wants to know where the masks are. They’re in New Delhi! People wear them everyday due to pollution and now coronavirus too. One day we hope the human race will learn ecological responsibility. Namooste.”
