As beloved astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley settle into the ISS, Society Garlic asked some questions about their adventure.
What was the scariest part of the journey on the Crew Dragon?
Most people think it’s at liftoff or max q, but it was actually after we got on board the ISS. I had no idea we would have to talk to Ted Cruz after that journey!
What was the best part of the mission?
I’m really enjoying seeing people, shaking their hands, and hugging again. There’s no coronavirus, no radicals – except for our fractional exponents of course! – and the only looting is of the freeze dried ice cream, but unfortunately NASA keeps a tight record of Location 12 Bag 37!
What did you notice when you looked back at Earth?
Antarctica is smaller. Pyongyang’s arsenal is bigger.
How long do you plan to stay?
Well right now NASA is thinking about three months. Honestly we’d prefer to stay here until 2021. Maybe by then a vaccine will be available, the real protest messages will be heard, and hopefully we’ll have a president who supports a space program not designed for the purpose of capturing illegal aliens.
What do the astronauts do for fun on the ISS?
Well we play Minecraft, Roblox, the usual, but not many people know that one of our favorite pastimes is Yo Momma battles. Everyone has heard of the typical burns regarding warping spacetime and gravitational lensing, but here are some of my favorites:
Yo Momma’s so fat….
– She’s only rated for the Falcon Heavy
– Her belt size is Van Allen
– Her Schwarzschild radius is 1 angstrom
– Her spectral signature reveals only heavy elements
