Bolstered by the populist Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Hindu supremacy has been on the rise in the country. It’s not a new concept in India, but now some citizens feel comfortable being more open about their hatred of Christian minorities, specifically. Of course they have always been open about their hatred of Muslims. Noticing a sense of parallelism, leaders of Hindu supremacist groups across India have gathered to carefully study and offer tutoring sessions on the successful ways of white supremacist groups in the United States.
“It is really very very simple,” bobbled Narenderagopalswamy Vikramanadupettichandrashaker, Hindu supremacist leader of Hyderabad, India. “Though we have a lot of history with the British, their oppression was centrally organized. We needed more splinter-group-type guidance, so I called our very fine American white supremacist friends to get a copy of their documents. Whenever I do that they affectionately call me ‘Apu on the reverse call center.’ In any case, I simply did a global search and replace of ‘White’ with ‘Hindus’ and ‘minority’ with ‘Christian.’ It brings tears to my eyes how supremacists around the world employ the same techniques of oppression. No matter who you are attacking, it is the same kind of threats and violence that work everywhere. Of course in India we have our own flavour with our colourful garb, chants, and weapons. Americans love to use guns, while Indians are famous for using their hands.”
