Border Problems: Pakistan Expulsion of Afghans

Since the beginning of November, Pakistan has been cracking down on 1.7 million illegal Afghan immigrants. Pakistan accuses these immigrants, many of whom were even born in Pakistan, of being a drain on their society and the reason for an increase in terrorism. Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Omar Al-Noor Ahmed Bin Khan, claims in the last month that 14 out of 24 suicide bombings were by Afghan Taliban members, while the other 10 were by Pakistani Taliban members. “That ratio is wrong. We are a sovereign nation and should have 100% of our own home-grown, native terrorists. I know these Afghans are looking to our country for a better life – the way we treat women, our open-minded society, our focus on peace, our dedication to education and the arts. Look, Biden allows in 10,000 migrants a day, but here we just don’t have that level of support.”
